Our pets are a part of the family, and you need to make sure you can take care of them if something happens – but vet bills are often expensive and can come up at the worst times. On top of that, pet insurance policies can be confusing, with some covering all bills, and others covering only some.
To make things easier, Real Insurance offers three levels of cover to suit your situation. You can claim back up to 80% of eligible vet bills, to a maximum of $12,000 a year – with NO excess. So, depending on your needs, there’s a policy to suit every dog or cat!
You might find that some pet insurance policies cover 100% of claims, but include an excess. Having a policy with no excess means you can make multiple claims per year without worrying about paying an excess for every time you visit the vet.
So, even if the premiums are a little higher with a no excess policy, you may find you use your insurance policy more and save money in the long run, because you can claim on smaller eligible vet bills such as vet consultation fees, and other minor procedures, that are incurred as a result of a covered illness or accidental injury.
